In 2021, the Food Charter Champion Awards, sponsored by Bangor Savings Bank, exclusively honor and celebrate five individual youth and/or youth groups (ages 11-25) in Androscoggin County for their actions that support a healthy local food system from farm-to-fork.

- Gabrielle Brewer – Community Infrastructure
- Maryam Omar – Good Food Policy
- Lewiston Youth Advisory Council – Food Security
All are welcome to join the Awards Presentation on Tuesday, August 3rd, 2021 at 7:30pm at the Lewiston Middle School football field, at 75 Central Avenue. The awards presentation will take place under the stars during the FREE, Summer Fun & Films movie and family activity night organized by the Lewiston Police Department. Winners were selected from among nominations made by the public on the GFCLA website this spring. The Good Food Council of LA sincerely appreciates every nomination we received – we loved reading about the dedication and passion of all area youth – we wish we had awards for every amazing young person and youth group that was nominated!
