In 2022, the Food Charter Champion Awards, co-sponsored by Bangor Savings Bank, St. Mary’s Nutrition Center, and Rinck Advertising, exclusively honored and celebrated five individual youth and/or youth groups (ages 11-25) in Androscoggin County for their actions that support a healthy local food system from farm-to-fork.
We are honored to announce the 2022 Food Charter Champion Award Winners:
- Summit Woodcock – Leadership
- Alain Lemmesse – Local & Sustainable Agriculture
- Kayden Boilard – Community Infrastructure
- Margaruette Seguin – Good Food Policy
- Sugg Middle School Jobs for Maine Grads Program – Food Security
Winners were honored at an Awards Presentation on August 2, 2022.
Winners were selected from among nominations made by the public on the GFCLA website this spring. The Good Food Council of LA sincerely appreciates every nomination we received – we loved reading about the dedication and passion of all area youth – we wish we had awards for every amazing young person and youth group that was nominated!
Thanks to our presenting co-sponsors, Bangor Savings Bank, St. Mary’s Nutrition Center, and Rinck Advertising, and our featured sponsor Austin Associates.
Thanks also to Boba, Flagship Cinemas, and Bangor Savings Bank for supporting prize packages for winners.
