DESCRIPTION:October 24 is celebrated nationally as Food Day. \nIt is a time to celebrate good food and create public awareness around the many strengths and deep challenges of our food system\, and the implications these have on our daily lives. \nThis Food Day\, we encourage Lewiston and Auburn residents to sign the LA Community Food Charter as one small but powerful step to supporting the values of a strong\, sustainable local food system and economy. \nGFCLA is also planning events in the LA area in celebration of Food Day.  One event is Greendrinks at Wallingford’s Hard Cider Tasting Shack on Wednesday\, 10/19.  Other events are still in planning phases.  Please check our website and facebook for updates in the coming weeks\, or contact us directly. \nThank you\, and Happy Food Day!
